Storms' station was named after "Uncle Johnny" Storms who contributed the right-of-way across his property. Johnny Storms was born October 1790 and was the last surviving War of 1812 veteran in Ross County. "The 95th anniversary of the birth of John Storms was duly celebrated by the Northwest Pioneer Association, on last Tuesday." 29 Oct. 1885 Waverly Watchman "Mr. John Storms, of Storms' Station, on the Ohio Southern Railroad, near Bainbridge, celebrated his 95th birthday on Tuesday of last week. There were about 250 persons on the Occasion. The Old pioneer, it said, bid fair to reach his hundredth year." 11 Nov. 1885 Waverly Watchman

Miss Georgia Husted, of Nipgen, and Ervin Addy, of Summit Hill, were quietly married at the Addy home last Saturday evening. Miss Husted is a daughter of Orlando Husted, of Nipgen, and is a sister of Mrs. Claude Cook, formerly of this city. Addy is a telegraph operator employed by the D.
